Hi! I'm Hardeep Kaur Gill. I moved to Ireland 6 years ago from Greece to study astrophysics. That is when my interest in computing developed and I have been coding ever since.

My studies taught me how to break down complex problems in smaller manageable bits, a mindset I now apply to software development as well.

I enjoy building things and solving problems, from web applications and cloud technologies to software design and project planning.

> current_focus

I am currently building an AI-powered language learning platform through H&S Studio. Also, I am passionate and learning about cloud and DevOps technologies.

In the long term, I hope to combine my technical background with leadership skills and move into project management.

  • Co-founded H&S Studio alongside Simun Cakic, Software Developer at FRS, with the goal of creating useful software that solve real-world problems.
  • Leading the development of the studio's first product, an AI-powered language learning platform designed to help users improve their English, Croatian, or Greek through chat-based practice.
  • Established the project management workflow using Notion to organise tasks between me and Simun and projects using Kanban boards and relational databases.
  • Currently creating wireframes and interface prototypes to validate ideas before development begins.

  • Managed and supported teams of 3-4 tutors, offering guidance (before, during, and after classes), resolving queries, and conducting quality reviews to ensure high teaching standards.
  • Deliver tailored CS lessons to groups of 4-7 students aged 9-18, adapting teaching methods and content to match individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Support students with Processing OOP (Java), Java and VSCode, Web Dev, Scratch, Python and Game Dev with Godot.
  • Created lesson material and notes for students to complete in class with tutor help.

Experimental Physics Lab Demonstrator

Maynooth University | Sep 2023 - May 2024

  • Supported first-year physics students during lab sessions.
  • Guided students through laboratory experiments, ensuring safe working practices, effective time management, and a strong understanding of experimental theory, methodology, and error analysis for structured scientific reporting.
  • Graded those scientific reports and provided feedback on their experimental analysis.
  • My experiments were: Archimedes' Principle and Melde's Experiment.

Computer Science Lab Demonstrator

Maynooth University | Sep 2022 - May 2023

  • Guided first-year computer science students through Java programming, Processing projects, and Prolog exercises, helping them strengthen their programming knowledge and logical thinking skills in a busy classroom enviroment.
  • Collaborated with a team of demonstrators to supervise and support 60-80 students during these practical lab sessions.

Summer Camp Demonstrator

Maynooth University Summer Camp | June 2022 & June 2023

  • Worked with a team of 5-6 demonstrators to make sure a group of 100-120 students followed along with the material and tasks being presented.
  • Troobleshot any hardware or software issues to minimise disruptions and maintain a positive learning experience.
  • Planned and presented 4 topics of my own: Turing Tumble, Intro to Java, and UX/UI Design, and Interactive storytelling with Twine.
  • Other topics covered in the camp when I was present as a demonstrator were microbit, arduino, finch robot, Godot, Blender, Cryptography and more!

Computer Science Center Tutor

Maynooth University | Sep 2021 - May 2023

  • Volunteered at the Computer Science Center as a CS Tutor.
  • Would help student in years below mine understand their homework and help them come up with their own solution to problems they were stuck on.
  • Topics were mostly on Data Structures / Algorithms and Intro to Java.

ABLO & Chairperson - Enactus

Maynooth University Enactus Society | Nov 2020 - May 2023
